my commitment

i am committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities and am continually improving the user experience for everyone by applying the relevant accessibility standards.

 

conformance status

the web content accessibility guidelines (wcag) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. it defines three levels of conformance: level a, level aa, and level aaa.

giorgiachiarion.com is partially conformant with wcag 2.1 level aa. partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard (for example, some older portfolio pieces may lack full descriptions).

 

accessibility features

on our website, you should be able to:

  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen.

  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard.

  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software.

  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader.

 

limitations and alternatives

despite my best efforts to ensure accessibility, there may be some limitations. below is a description of known limitations:

  • portfolio imagery: as a book design portfolio, some images may not yet have full "alt text" descriptions. i am working to add descriptive text to all work samples.

  • third-party content: i may use third-party tools or social media embeds that are not fully under our control.
